WRITING SOUND, ONE HUNDRED DRAWINGS
2016 - 2017

The Writing Sound, One Hundred Drawings project. To re-enter into my drawing practice after a 3 month break I decided to make one drawing a day for one hundred days. Each day I chose a random audio track to draw to. The length of the track decided the time I spent drawing.

The drawings can be seen as a seismographic drawing of sound, where the body act as the machine of recording and transmittance.

The idea takes its point of departure in the act of doodling, where sometimes memories are stored and can be recalled through the doodled image. This way the drawings became a visual diary of the sounds I listened to.
