Pinhole photographs of the Moon.

In 2016 I started photographing the Moon at night with long exposure pinhole photography. I exposed directly onto light sensitive photographic paper, which gives a negative image.

Eight years later Lunar Almanac holds 170 images of the Moon. Sometimes the Moon is visible at night, sometimes it’s not. It depends on the clouds, the time of the year, winter or summer and the time of the month, Moonrise, and Moonset.

The movements of the Moon is what our ordering of time is based upon. The word Month derives from the word Moon and correspond to the cycle of the Moon. Moon Diary visibly records the time of the Moon.

A selection of the Lunar Almanac photographs will be published by *[Asterisk] in 2024.
